News | Call for members for the new NICA ResMA council

Call for members for the new NICA ResMA council

Registration: nica@hum.leidenuniv.nl
Application deadline:
October 20th, 2021

The NICA ResMA-council needs you!

NICA is currently in the process of setting up a Research Master’s council, and we are looking for ResMA-students in Cultural Analysis who are interested in getting involved!

The ResMA-council will represent NICA’s ResMA student-community, and will function as the connecting, intermediating body between the group of students and NICA’s executive team. The council will facilitate the communication between NICA and its student members, be involved in the evaluation and creation of NICA’s educational offer (core courses, seminars, lectures, workshops), may organize events and workshops for the ResMA student-community, and will provide otherwise valuable input for NICA’s ResMA-education and initiatives.

As part of the council, your role is to gather different student opinions and interests, which allow NICA’s team to streamline and cater the educational program to the wishes and needs of the ResMA-students. You are invited to be actively involved in the evaluation of NICA’s core courses, seminars and lectures, but are also welcome to propose or initiate new activities or (networking) events yourself. The organisational structure and set of responsibilities of the council is still open to discussion, and your input is more than welcome.

What’s in it for you?

Joining the ResMA-Council allows you to meet ResMA-students in Cultural Analysis from other universities, and broaden your professional and academic network, both on a national and international level. This enables you to develop your representative and professional skills, and to gain experience in the cultures and structures of professional academia.

Application

If you are interested in this position or if you have questions, please email us at nica@hum.leidenuniv.nl. The application deadline is October 20th, and please state your name, university and ResMA-program as well.
