The NICA PhD/rMA Council is looking for new members!

NICA

Are you enthusiastic about building a research community in the field of cultural analysis and representing the interests of young researchers? Are you a PhD candidate or research Master’s student affiliated with NICA? Then the joined PhD and rMA council is looking for you!

The NICA PhDxrMA council represents the interests of all NICA PhD candidates and affiliated rMA students and seeks to promote the exchange of knowledge, skills, experiences, and ideas. We host a variety of events that aims to stimulate intellectual and social exchange of primarily, but not exclusively, young researchers at NICA.

We are looking preferably for 2 more PhD candidates and 2 rMA students that want to join us in fostering a lively community at NICA. Please note that you should be available for two hours per week on average. We do not yet have representatives from the University of Utrecht, the University of Groningen, Tilburg University, Maastricht University, Erasmus University and Radboud University at our Council – if you are affiliated with one of these universities, we are especially interested in getting to know you!

If you’re interested in being an active member of the council, please send us a short description of yourself, your university affiliation, whether you are a PhD candidate or rMA student, and one idea for an event that you would be interested in organising as part of the council. All emails should be directed to nica@hum.leidenuniv.nl with the topic ‘Interest in PhD/rMA Council’.

We are looking forward to hearing from you!
