PhD | Performing Arts and Robotics – NWO Project ‘Dramaturgy for Devices’
PhD candidate: Soyun Jang

Soyun Jang is a PhD candidate in Performing Arts and Robotics, funded by the NWO project, ‘Dramaturgy for Devices’. This interdisciplinary project aims to develop the social skills that robots require for interaction and communication, in collaboration with theater and dance makers. It investigates how the performing arts can contribute to innovative design tools and methods, as well as the value of the skills and knowledge of theater practice for technological innovation. Jang’s PhD project will be developed within the framework of this larger project, with a focus in dance and movement.
