May 22: Night of Protest

May 18, 2018/in Then /by Murat Aydemir

For the third time, Humanities Rally is organizing a Night of Protest. As in 2014 and 2015 we will come together because unfortunately we still face the same problems. There are still cutbacks, different studies are being combined and the workload among teachers is too high. Room for choice disappears, lecturers are being fired and the representative advisory bodies can’t do anything about it.

We want a university where students and teachers have something to say about their own education, where working groups are not given by overworked teachers to forty rushed students, where specialization is not a term of abuse and where we are not driven by financial return but by curiosity!

This is a constructive protest in which we want to show how beautiful and diverse the humanities are. It will be an evening full of lectures, debates, poetry and workshops. Everyone is welcome, the doors will not close during the evening.

During the coming week the extensive program will appear on this page: https://www.facebook.com/events/582653492118398/

Invite all your friends and co-worker to come to Oudemanhuispoort on May 22 at 19:00h for a Night of Protest!
